TIMBER membership is open to mountain bike enthusiasts of every discipline and their families and friends. Applicants under the age of 18 must join with a responsible parent or guardian. Only members age 18 and over will be allowed to use power strimmers and other tools (after being appropriately certified) in order to comply with the health and safety restrictions specified by the Forestry Commission and the organisation’s group insurance coverage.
We charge a small membership fee annually per person to help cover the basic costs of tools, maintenance and insurance.
Annual membership fee: £5.00
The membership fee is due upon joining TIMBER and is then paid annually at the Annual General Meeting in April.
An important benefit of becoming a TIMBER member is liability insurance provided for riding. TIMBER members are covered by third party liability if involved in an incident while on a club ride or at a volunteer event.
Members benefits also include participation in a range of organisational activities, including but not limited to volunteer events, group rides and socials.
Members also have access to discounts on products and services provided by sponsors and affiliates.

In order complete only the first stage of our plan - to build a sustainable, waymarked route roughly following the course of the current Red Trail. A trail that will be built to IMBA standards and that will test experienced mountainbikers - will require at least £160K! As you can see it's not a cheap or simple process, but if you would like to help speed up the process and really make a difference to the quality of Trails in Thetford Forest, you can also make a one off Donation via PayPal by clicking the button below. Everything you give will go back into the trails.
On clicking a payment button you will be taken to the Paypal website - you don't need a Paypal account to use this facility. Paypal requires cookies to be enabled in your browser. For queries please contact the treasurer.
If you wish to donate something other than money, please conact the Fund Raising Officer.
