I might actually be up for a ride on Saturday. I can't do an early start but can do a lunchtime ride no problem.

Enjoy Slowjo, looks good as it's mostly off road if I read the description correctly.

I'm looking to do a long one tomorrow, probably start at BCP and head over to SD and back via the red route. Will be more of a training ride for me and wont be starting too early. Let me know of you're up for it?

I'm down for 120km at the Bucks offroad sportive. But my knee is hurting and it's likely to be very muddy so I'm trying to persuade myself not to bother...

You'll love it Pete!

You can always elect to join the cop out merchants on the 100k, they won't mind!

I've got to go to Newmarket in the morning (apparently), so 12 would be better for me.
BCP?

I'll try to do BCP for midday. I'll be on a red Santa cruz Superlight. If im not there I probably missed the train so don't wait around too long.

Ride this weekend

Postby rossburton » Sat May 12, 2012 3:23 pm

Oh my god I am so worn out. After 19 miles I had to bail in SD and make my way back home, 23 in total. Thanks for a great ride though maybe next time I'll start at SD instead of BCP!

Glad you got back Ok Ross, no more 'incidents' on the way back I hope !
I got to the the 30 mile mark by the bottom of the beast and called it a day there. :tired:
Tim decided he was too close to his personal best mileage and went on to break his record.

Some good riding today, almost perfect conditions, except for crossing the river Kwai !!

I really don't think I'd have managed the Beast today! I had an amusing return journey -- St Helen's carpark, turn right over the train line, and then saw a sign for "Brandon - 5km" down a wide track. 4.9km later it came to an abrupt halt at the back of the Brandon industrial estate, so I ended up carrying the bike through a field of nettles to get onto the main road...

Now I've stopped the pedal incident is causing some pain, hopefully it's better tomorrow. The trail crew need to go and remove that invisible rock that some joker put on the trail. ;)
