horse riding through beater trail

Postby sans tubes » Tue Jan 24, 2017 4:13 pm

Ive started to notice that on a couple of sections of this trails there is evidence of a horse being ridden (or walked) through. Its on 2 of the sections before the intersection from the long red joining back with the short red (sorry cant remember the strava section names). Has anyone else noticed this...i am concerned that this will spoil the hard work of the volunteers that maintain the trails. Its not too bad at the mo but could get worse quickly.
the next time i am out i will take a few pics.

its not very easy to see at the moment i am just concerned it will get worse if it carries on. Along the section were you pass the first small bomb pit of the beater trail and up to around were the trail loops back round from the long beater trail loop. all along these sections look at the edge of the trail for horse shoe marks.
