Gradient and rocks?

Postby rossburton » Tue Apr 17, 2012 8:14 pm

I'm planning to visit a friend in Stirling in a month or so, and would like to practise on rocks and down hills before I go up. Now I've been told that in far-flung corners of the forest there are actually hills and even what could be described as a rock garden. Laughable claims at best :) but does anyone have any suggestions for areas to session on?

I've got a funny feeling that this thread isn't going to go anywhere. ;)

TBH just have confidence hit it at a slower speed at first and stay loose, off the brakes (feather the back if you need to) and get weight off the bars. Its all about practise! First time I went to wales I was nervous but now I love it bombing down on my 100mm travel bike clad in lycra  Just got back from a team weekend with Thetford MTB Racing - you come back a different rider, trust me!.
