Tyres

Postby SteveG » Fri Jul 30, 2010 10:03 am

Going to ease myself back into biking with some local rides round where i live. Alot of the routes are mainly tarmac etc with a few bridleways. I need to change my tyres and was wondering if anyone has recomendations for a more road base tyre to cut down on resistance my current Panaracer XC pros cause.. any ideas of a good semi slick tyre would be appreciated..

I use Racing Ralphs all year round and for forays onto tarmac they roll pretty well. The problem is they are a bit dear at >£40 a tyre.

Steve I've got an older version of these http://www.specialized.com/ja/en/bc/SBCEqProduct.jsp?spid=49691

They are just hanging up in my garage. Well used, but very servicable, you are welcome to have them on indefinate loan if you like. I'm up tomorrow so can leave them in the container if you are not about then.

Hi Steve,

Currently no key, its a combination, I can PM you the combo....thats the upside.....

...... downside being that I'll have to kill you once I have

No problem I'll drop em off and PM you the code.

If you end up needing a little more traction, the Schwalbe Marathon Cross 1.75do a good job between road and fire route for me.
