Will try and get there at the start but wouldn't mind getting away early afternoon if possible.

I would like to help but am thinking where to park as I haven't got a pass.
I'm guessing it would be quite expensive all day ?

Not a problem, parking for those taking part in build days will be free. You will be given a pass by the build day leader. :goodidea:

Thanks to everyone for their incredibly hard work yesterday, awesome effort by all!

So now the new section of green is dug out and raked all the way and stoned half way,

Thanks again

... and my bones ache again. Here's the last sod being removed by Clemo - proof that he doesn't just lean on spades ;)

The trouble with the internet is they let any idiot use it.

I hope everyone understands why we're doing this back breaking bit of trail? It's double track width wide enough to be ridden in both directions as a family trail (tag along's etc). It was badly waterlogged which is why we're raising the height of the trail a bit. It's a bit of an experiment like everything we do. There was some lively debate internally about doing it, as it was clear it would be a lot of work. However it's the shortest section of track we could find to link the end of the new Green route (or Shepherd trail I think it's called now?) We gave a commitment to help out on the Green route and it's through doing things like this that we get access to machinery like the Kanga and the Bomag and money for the pump track. If more interest is added to the Green and Blue trails it'll make it easier to add more technical features to the harder trails.

It's always the same. People see a trail centre review or a snap shot of Thetford and the very idea of flat trails sends them into a screaming panty twizzle !!
One thing you can be sure of is that those who post such dismissive stuff will never be any where near the trails when it comes to doing any hard work.

It really does grind my feckin' gears !!
