Trail Build day Sat 11th August

Postby peterh » Mon Aug 06, 2012 2:32 pm

Who's up for a build day this coming Saturday 11th August?

Objectives:
• Complete stoning of the new track at the southern end of the new Shepherd trail
using the Bomag to compact the surface.
• Clear bracken covering the new Lime-Burner/Shepherd trail crossing and cover trail
surface with a thin protective layer of stone. Compact the trail surface with Bomag
and/or compaction plates.
• Start work on the final Lime-Burner/Shepherd trail that needs to be improved.

Meet at Gorilla [I still don't remember the new name] car park, High Lodge (first on left) 09:30 for a 10:00 start.

Any questions feel free to ask, but read the FAQ first: http://www.timbermtb.org/website/faq#5
Please post to say if you intend to attend so we have some idea of numbers - thanks.

DON'T FORGET A TOTAL OF JUST 24 HOURS* OF YOUR TIME WILL EARN YOU A FREE DISCOVERY PASS, GIVING YOU FREE ACCESS TO HIGHLODGE
* We have decided to work your entitlement out in hours rather than days to allow for people that are only able to help out for shorter periods.

I'll pop in and see Emma tomorrow, I'm sure she said she'd like to 'play' with the Bomag?

I was up at Sherwood pines last night.
They are doing a lot of work on the red trails up there, most of it with a resonable size mini digger!
They have also built some nice berms with the aid of Mr readymix.

With all the features Sherwood and Cannock have, it makes us look like we are falling quite a long way behind.
