NEWSJune 2008 Newsletter 5 now availableDownload the latest newsletter here. This one has a report from the Chairman explaining some of the issues that have led to halt in trail building. There's an article from the Chief trail builder about what some of these changes will mean, at least until we can come to an agreement with the FC about the future trail building strategy. And, there's a report from the Fundraising secretary about the challenges of raising money for a project like ours. Trail Building suspendedPlease note, following the monthly meeting where news broke that the new '39 Steps' section of trail has failed the FC engineer's inspection and there has been a change in FC policy. Trail building activities are to cease until further notice. This is obviously a great blow to us as we were beginning to make real headway improving and updating the red route to IMBA standards. Please see the forum for more info. May 2008 TIMBER BBQTo celebrate the arrival of Summer (touch wood) the next TIMBER meeting will take the form of a BBQ. It'll be a great opportunity to see what TIMBER is doing, what we have planned (why it's taking so long!) and what you can do to help. For more information and if you are planning to come, please e-mail info@timbermtb.org, it'll also help us work out how many to cater for.
